I wrote this song when I was in the peak of my PTSD and it was really intense for me. I was struggling to talk to people I loved because I felt misunderstood, which I now know is a common feeling alongside PTSD. I felt super alone. I wrote this song about finding a glimmer of hope that something, somewhere would help me to get back to myself when I felt so tired and helpless inside my own body.
This is a big subject that I feel is not widely understood in our society yet it affects so many of us on deep level. It can be very lonely for those who experience it. Below I have put some information if you would like to find out more about the symptoms of PTSD, steps to take if you feel you have PTSD, and how best to support someone you know who is going through it. If anyone has any super good links and wants to send them too, I am more than happy to share.
